Activities

SEMAT Turkey Chapter was established in March 2016. Turkey Chapter encourages both practitioners and academics to use and develop Essence Framework. The members are conducting research, writing scientific papers, and organizing events on Essence Framework.

• A paper titled “A Framework Proposal for Tailoring Software Development Process” (in Turkish) was presented in 9^th Turkish National Software Engineering Symposium in 2015. The framework for tailoring is based on Essence Framework.

• A paper titled “Systematic Approach for Mapping Software Development Methods to the Essence Framework” will be presented in TOSE 2016: The 5th International Workshop on Theory-Oriented Software Engineering, Austin, USA, 15 May 2016.

• A tutorial session on Essence Framework will be held in 6^th Turkish National Software Architecture Conference co-located with European Software Architecture Conference in September 2016.

• A tutorial session on Essence Framework will be held in 10^th Turkish National Software Engineering Conference in October 2016.

• Ph.D. and M.Sc. students will be encouraged to participate in Essence related research.
