How do I start writing when I have no desire or inspiration at all?
When I don't manage to write the way I see it and want to - sometimes it's hard to force myself. But another reason can be objective harsh criticism.
I'll share the ins and outs. This is information that has only been in private chats between writing authors.
There's no advice here like "don't use adverbs," only what we ourselves as authors actually apply.
The question is: It's hard to write. What do you recommend to switch it up?

Maybe you should read more poetry. And try writing poetry yourself. That'll teach you rhythm.

I don't mean novels or books in general, just short prose.

In a good story the text sounds like music: there is a melody, there is a rhythm. Then you try to achieve the same music in your own text.
Either a smooth narrative, when the story requires it. Or an intermittent,

My short story inspiration is Hemingway's The Snows of Kilimanjaro.
Any good author has three main qualities.
The first is desire.
The second is the desire to learn.

Do you think my first stories were good? They're not that good even now. Generally for poems, short stories, novels, novellas, there is no word for good. There are no boundaries, you can strive for something all the time.

And rewrote them, watching everything, how he put the commas, how he arranged the dialogues, what dots, commas.
Five or six rewrites of his various feuilletons, and then of the stories of other authors, formed connections in my brain - patterns from which my subconscious now bounces.
