Hi Cherry and all!
While dating advice in general is helpful my experience has been when a man comes on strong, he is not a quality man. He is often desperate, lonely, a love addict, mother issues, insecure, has sexual dysfunctions, or a player  to name a few.  I've had several stalkers and to me an unbalanced man is just that – unbalanced.  
If for some reason you feel he is worth staying in touch with – honor that.  But I've rarely heard from anyone a man that aggressive is a together guy.  He often uses women to quell insecurities, fears, build self -esteem and often isn't seeing me as a person but as an idealization of an object to him.  He isn't interested in who I AM but is lost in fantasy. 
Since I really value an emotionally mature man – I personally wouldn't date this type of man. Be flattered but then look elsewhere for a healthy relationship. 
I also understand different women attract different types of men so this is only my experience
